Carreglwyd Camping and Caravan Park is a popular, family friendly holiday park right next to the beach. The park overlooks the beautiful village and bay of Port Eynon, and is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and stunning beaches to create an idyllic holiday location. The park also has a four-pennant rating from the AA.

This 15-acre campsite has 400 pitches spread across five fields, with motorhomes, campervans, touring caravans and tents all accommodated at the site. Electric hook-ups are available, however these cannot be booked in advance and they'll be allocated on arrival, depending on availability.

Static caravans for sale are also available at the park, perfect for families that want to make this pretty part of Wales their permanent holiday retreat.

On site, you will find two amenities blocks. These house a range of facilities including toilets, basins, showers and family shower rooms, plus dishwashing areas and a laundrette. There is also a convenience store and off licence found on the park so guests can stock up on their holiday and camping accessories and essentials, while gas canisters can also be exchanged here. Wi-Fi is available, too.

Carreglwyd Camping and Caravan Park leads directly onto the local beach – what more could you want on your camping and caravan holidays in Wales?! The beach is well patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months and is perfect for paddling and swimming. Fishing can be enjoyed on the beach, too, while guests can also take advantage of great spots around the whole of the Gower Peninsula.

Indeed, this area as a whole is great for those who like walking and cycling, as there's so much to see in this lovely and largely unspoiled region. Hobby walkers and hikers can join the Welsh coastal path from the park, or simply head out into the countryside and make their own way around the area.

Carreglwyd Camping and Caravan Park is on the edge of the village of Port Eynon, and here you'll find a range of local amenities, including shops and welcoming pubs, cafés and restaurants. Swansea is an 18-mile scenic drive either along the coast or through the country, and can be reached in 40 minutes to an hour depending on whether you drive or leave your car or motorhome on site and take the bus, which runs to the city from Port Eynon. Swansea is very much a modern city with attractions for the whole family to enjoy, including museums and art galleries along with theme parks, leisure centres and so much more. Swansea also acts as a gateway for those looking to visit Neath and Port Talbot, popular south Wales towns.

You're also just a 45-minute drive from Llanelli, the largest town in Carmarthenshire. The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Llanelli Wetland Centre is on the outskirts of Llanelli is well worth some of your time – here you can hunt for bugs, see amazing, colourful flamingos and much more.
