We have been staying on this site and The Toilet/ Shower Block is kept spotless.Open field space for the kids to play sport, grass or H/S pitches are level
No clubhouse on site but the Cressfield Hotel next door do good food and the owners are always pleased to see you.
10 new static pitches are being constructed on the existing putting green/ football field reducing the play area unfortunately for campers and this will eventually obscure the lovely views the touring pitches had last year.
Still a nice stoppover site though (very close to the motorway!)

Not really one for the family, and I would seriously not recommend buying a static through them. Since we arrived with our tourer during a recent rally the hard sell was far too much to bear. Considering the cheapest we were offered was 2 years old, and the site shelve life is only 10 years, our 8 year investment would have cost us well in the region of 45k including site fees. The facilities are very clean and tidy (award winning) however the on site play park and fields were neat but very basic. We were also quite worried that behind the quaint exterior of Ecclefechan Village lay a council estate and we were reliably informed by the local police that the site is prone to burglary over the winter months. To cap it off the on site staff were cantankerous and unfriendly. A shame really as this site has great potential but is at risk of being over developed.
