Wonderful tranquil setting
Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely site, extremely well maintained with helpful staff and immaculate facilities, the shower rooms were a joy to use. We spent a great day exploring the Delamere Forest, another looking around the Anderson Boat lift,. This is a beautiful site in a beautiful location.

We stayed here for 5 nights and would happily have stayed longer had being back at work not been a requirement! The pitches are level and pretty spacious and the facilities were excellent, probably the best we've come across so far. The location of the site is great for exploring Cheshire and there are good walks in the area. We were welcomed warmly and provided with helpful information, nothing was too much trouble.

“A luxurious caravan park?” queried a friend. “Isn’t that a contradiction in terms?
Definitely not. Especially when you’re talking about Lamb Cottage Caravan Park in the Vale Royal district at the heart of the Cheshire countryside Mike and Lynn Howard, the resident owners, have turned this into a tranquil haven for wildlife and caravanners.
The multi-award winning 5* park is an Adult only site and is a member of the Tranquil Touring Parks group. It covers 6½ acres and has 25 fully serviced all-weather pitches each with a grassed area to the side. There are also 4 pitches especially for motorhomes, 14 seasonal pitches and an area of privately owned holiday homes. Tents are not accepted.
Facilities include a luxury toilet and shower block with en-suite style shower rooms as well as separate toilets and basins, hairdryers/shaver points, a disabled suite, laundry room and an undercover dishwashing/vegetable preparation area. There is an information centre and a library, but no shop. An on-site dog walk is fenced and gated, but as one of our dogs does not like the bark chippings, we tend to go into the Forestry Commission land over the road to exercise them.
Local attractions are varied, including the Blakemere craft centre, Delamere Forest, the Whitegate Way walk, Northwich and the Anderton Boat Lift and of course the city of Chester itself. Wales and the Wirral are within a short car journey. The nearest shops and take-aways are within a mile or two.
Apart from the obvious – peace and tranquillity teamed with the fantastic facilities, this is our favourite site for our first trip out each year, being just three quarters of an hour from home. We can try everything out without a seemingly endless car journey. And if we do need spares or repairs, the caravan centre at Delamere (once Harringtons, latterly Discover Leisure) is just a stone’s throw away.
The site is open from March to October.
Prices per pitch per night for 2011 are;
£20 - £26 pitch/2 adults/car/VAT
£19 - £25 motorhomes
£1 each dog (max 2)
£5 extra adult
£1 extra car

Relaxing Weekend
Second visit to this lovely site. It's adults only so great for a peaceful weekend break. The site has great facilities and is always very clean and very well maintained. The woods across the road is great for walking the dog and he always enjoys his stay. Wardens are friendly and approachable and made us feel very welcome on arrival.

Adults only - Fantastic Park
Fantastic caravan park with great facilities (shower block is like home from home). The park is extremely peaceful and tranquil with highly maintained lawns and hedges, very neat and tidy. The staff are very friendly and are always happy to help. Added bonus, Chester is only 20 minutes away so you can relax at night and if you wish to venture into the town during the day. Would highly recommend this park!!

Lovely peaceful Site
This was our first visit to Lamb's Cottage but we will certainly return if we are in the area.
The site is immaculate with first class pitches, plenty of room for caravan and awning and a grass area for sitting out . There is a small dog walk but also lovely woodland walk across the road from the entrance. The toilets/shower rooms were spotless and just like a bathroom from home with Shower, wash hand basin and toilet all in one room and hooks and shelves to put your clothes and toiletries on.
There was also free wi fi. The site is very peaceful and quiet as it is adults only but great for a relaxing break. it is also close to the M6 and Chester and lots of walks and country parks.

Caravan Park
This site is one of the best I have stayed on. The amenities and grounds are extremely well kept to a very high standard. Definitely deserves a return visit. Central to a lot of interesting places to visit. Bear in mind this is an adult only site and the touring pitches are all service pitches.

So peaceful
This is our second visit. It is an adult only site and if you want peace you will get it here. The facilities are excellent and in each unit you get a shower, washbasin and toilet. It was really quiet when we were here and the folk on site were friendly.
