Tranwell Farm is two miles from the historic Market town of Morpeth and within easy walking distance of a lovely country pub. Our dog-friendly, off-grid site, is surrounded by wildlife and caters for families and couples who are looking for a quiet base from which to explore all that Northumberland has to offer.
Northumberland is one of the most sparsely populated counties in England. It's an area of outstanding natural beauty and dark skies. Dramatic coastlines, miles of sandy beaches, rolling hills and majestic castles all waiting to be explored. Morpeth, is situated in the centre of Northumberland and combines history and heritage. Here you'll find traditional farmers markets, interesting shops, fabulous restaurants, takeaways and tea rooms, supermarkets and a park and gardens.
The camping pitches are well spaced and mowed into long grass. Campfires are permitted in the on-site fire pits, which are available to hire but must be extinguished by 10pm.

As well as camping and caravan/motorhome pitches we have a uniquely designed Lotus Stargazer belle tent, which is perfect for glampers. Nestled in its own secluded setting, it's fully furnished with a log burning stove, comfy king-size bed and folding camp beds for children. Solar lighting, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery are all included for hassle free camping. Plus two new luxury shepherd's huts fully equipped for a relaxing stay and benefit from their own ensuite and kitchen.

So if you're looking for a Family friendly simple off-grid campsite, in the heart of Northumberland, to enjoy a well-earned break with a clear view of the night sky, then we've got a pitch for you. Fresh air, the gentle sound of bird song, idyllic countryside views, fields dotted by sheep, well spaced pitches with easy access along a well maintained private farm track. Toasting marshmallows over one of our fire pits and genuinely being able to switch off by going to sleep watching the stars. If you are up early enough you may also catch sight of some deer before a pleasant walk in the countryside or a days sightseeing visiting The Whitehouse farm centre, N1 Crazy Golf, Kirkley Hall Zoo, Hadrians wall or one of the many Castles and beaches of the Northumbrian Coast all within a short drive. Our farm is 3 miles from the historic market town of Morpeth in the beautiful Northumbrian Countryside. The camping field is an old pasture meadow surrounded by mature trees in a quiet location away from the main farmyard. There are many wild animals in the area including deer, badgers, foxes and birds. The fields around our campsite are grazed by our pedigree rare breed coloured ryeland
sheep.
