HISTORIC PERTHSHIRE

Today, visitors can tour Scone Palace before taking the short drive to Glamis Castle, where the Queen Mother spent her childhood.

BIG TREE COUNTRY

David Douglas, a seed collector and botanist, was born in Scone and travelled the globe to find new species to introduce to the area. His most famous find? The Douglas Fir.
