Nestled in the heart of the gorgeous, North Devon countryside, Stowford Farm Meadows is a fantastic campsite and a great place from which to explore the surrounding area.

Stowford Farm Meadows is a remote, rural retreat and a well connected site all in one, as it sits at the end of its own, long, private road, which connects with the A3123, meaning the famous and popular Devon tourist hotspots like Ilfracombe, Combe Martin, Woolacombe and Barnstaple are all easy to get to.

This is a large, well maintained site and surely one of the best campsites in Devon. Stowford Farm Meadows welcomes visitors in motorhomes, caravans and tents, plus it has seasonal pitches as well as a caravan storage facility. There is also an on-site camping and caravanning accessory shop, great in case you’ve forgotten something.

Split into five separate touring caravan and camping fields, all pitches have electric hook-ups. There are also large amenity blocks with individual shower cubicles, family bathrooms, washing up areas, laundry facilities, plus waste disposal and Elsan points.

There are also hardstanding pitches for motorhomes with electric hook-ups, as well as a motorhome waste disposal point. And if you fancy leaving your ‘van on site and getting out into the countryside in something rather smaller, Stowford Farm Meadows has a deal with Enterprise Car Rental in Barnstaple. There are also Premier Pitches for larger motorhomes and RVs.

If camping in Devon is more your cup of tea, Stowford Farm Meadows has plenty of tent pitches, too, and they have electric hook-up if required. In addition, seasonal pitches are available at this campsite between 15th March and 14th November.

This is also a very dog friendly campsite – and there is plenty to do during your stay. There is an indoor mini zoo with goats, lambs, pigs, chipmunks, ferrets and much more, and guests can feed and play with the animals. In addition, there is an on-site horse riding centre that suits riders of all ages and abilities.

There are yet more things to do here. The 22-metre indoor heated swimming pool is very popular and if you’ve forgotten anything, there’s a shop on site. Pitch and putt and crazy golf are on site, too, while 70 acres of woodland awaits your walking pleasure, with marked nature walks which start and finish on the camping and caravanning site – you can download a map from the Stowford Farm Meadows website.

The indoor, soft play area is the perfect way to tire out the children and there are also some brand new outdoor play areas with swings, climbing frames and much more. Regular, on-site family entertainment is popular, too, and if you want to grab something to eat or drink, the Old Stable Bars, The Wild Pheasant Restaurant and The Fisherman’s Quay takeaway are sure to be able to meet your needs. Or you could enjoy a barbecue on your pitch, so long as it is at least 12 inches above the ground and well ventilated.

A popular campsite that offers visitors beautiful views of the North Devon countryside, Stowford Farm Meadows is well signposted from the main road and will certainly keep the whole family entertained.

Been to Stowford many times, superb site, there is everything on site that you need for a cracking holiday, toilet and shower blocks are always spotless.
Going in our twin axle caravan, I always take the A339 off the A361 near South Moulton, a very much quicker route than trying to fight your way through Barnstaple, especially in the summer months, and such an easy road to travel. Ilfracombe is 3 miles away, so much to see and do you will always remember the happy memories from you holiday at Stowford.

Went to Stowford for a rally and we couldn't have picked a better place. Idyllic park covering a large area with plenty of pitches, great views and fantastic facilities. It has a swimming pool, bar, cafe, shop and restaurant and it would be very easy to spend several days here without having to go anywhere else for supplies and/or entertainment. Barnstaple is also a stone's throw away and has amenities like a big Tesco Extra or a Sainsbury's if you really need it. It's also surrounded by great roads for [road] cycling so if that's one of your hobbies, like it is mine, perfect park 10/10.

We stayed here for the Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan Reader Rally this year - and last year - and the site was as superb as ever. We enjoyed eating in the pub on site, were entertained by the live music and found Stowford Farm Meadows to be a great host for our rally. The site is on the top of Berry Down, with pretty views of the surrounding hills, and we enjoyed walking down by the river/stream from the site. We even had good weather...

This site was brilliant, plenty to see and do, the toilets and wash facilities were 10/10, cleaned regularly and so were the dish washing facilities. a lot of the Pitches were uneaven, but not a problem, views are lovely. Definately recommend Stowford Farm Meadows.

Went to Stowford Farm last year for the Practical Caravan Reader Rally, facilities were all clean and nice, great bar to escape to from time to time! We were very lucky with the weather so took advantage of the open spaces that that all over the park. Takeaway was average not great but overall great place to spend my Bank Holiday Weekend.

This is a site where inexperienced caravanners can visit secure in the knowledge that everything will be alright. The organisation of the site is phenomenal. It is clean, friendly well run & picturesque . We have found everyone who works on the site really helpful and supportive. There are so many places to visit that even after visiting North Devon for more than 30 years there is more to visit and Stowford Farm is an excellent base to do it from.We will be visit again, the sooner the better!

It's is very easy to see why many people would think this site nice. It is nice. A great site with great amenities and loads to do placed in one of the nicest parts of the country.

But this review is aimed at anyone planning to seasonally store and pitch their caravan with Stowford. They have recently put their prices up for storage by 25% in one step which in the current climate most would agree is unreasonable but Stowford's reasons for this was '...well we looked around at other sites in the area and found our prices were too low and so have increased our prices in line with other sites'

Our caravan is simply kept in a field and on many occasions has been pulled out with mud all around the base and up to the axle showing clearly that the van has been left deep in wet soggy mud...

Very friendly staff, excellent facilities all in all a great family holiday. Children loved pet a rama and the swimming pool. The under floor heating in the toilet block was very much appreciated in a very wet summer.

A great site for all the family. Very well presented. Excellent location for north cornwall and devon. I've stayed here a few times in recent years and I am beginning to feel that the site is expanding in size faster than improvements to the facilities. During the peak season the park can feel very busy and crowded. Don't feel I am being too critical, this park can be considered as one of the best in the country, I just fear that they might spoil it.

An excellent site with excellent facilites. Would highly recommend. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. The on site chip shop serves excellent food and the on site shop has a large variety of food and accessories. You also have the benefit of a on site caravan shop for the last minuite things.

It is a must if you are in the Ilfracombe area on holiday.
