Our second visit to this site. Will never go back again. Saturday night was horrendous with the seasonal pitches holding a party. Now I am not talking about some noise music but a full blown night club style music system at full blast with karaoke all afternoon till 10.30. It was shaking our unit with being that loud. I complained to security twice who refused to do a thing about it even after I had shown them a copy of their rules that state that all music, tvs etc must not be played loud as to cause a nuiscence to other people. It's states in bold script in the site rules STRICTLY NO BALL GAMES. Our van was peppered with footballs, frisbies and even cricket, CRICKET, being played amongst the tourers. Not once did we see security to stop this. If we hadn't pre booked tickets for various events nearby we would have left on the Saturday night and demanded a refund. Toilet block, Showers were disgusting And we wouldn't use them opting for our own.

Even though we only watched the activities it was a very enjoyable weekend. Very relaxing surroundings. All the staff were great. We will be recommending this site to all of our friends and will be visiting again soon.
Melton 15 Aug 2012
Our visit was ruined by the staff. We were staying in a tent on a grass pitch are friends in the next row in a caravan. The park was about twenty percent full but we were told we couldn't move our tent near theirs as this piece of deserted grass was caravan only. As we didn't want to leave our one year old alone in a tent whilst we enjoyed an evening with friends we had to go to our own tent at 8 o'clock. When our friends asked to move their caravan nearer the staff pretended that these spaces were fully booked.

What can i say! This was the first site we ever went to with our caravan and we have been 5 times in less than 18 months, 3 times in the last 6 weeks alone. Fantastic site, very beautiful. Much better than most we have visited since. very secure. Staff are v. friendly & helpful. showers & loo's are clean. Nice little bar wich serves great food and evening entertainment. Plenty to do & see for both adults and children with climbing wall, buggies, water sports etc. Pitches both hard standing and grass for tents or tourer/motorhomes are nice an spacious. Great play park for the kids. We have recommended to friends both with and without children and they have all come back saying the same.

We have just returned from another weekend away at Tallington Lakes. We have been to many sites over the years, and can honestly say that we have yet to find one to beat Tallington, we have been coming here for over 3 years now.
The pitches are well maintained and spacious, the toilet block kept spotless and warm any time of the day.The bar is comfortable for drinks, with VERY large patio area at the front with views over the water ski lake, and the added bonus is that the meals are great value too !.
Plenty of things to do on site, which do cost extra, however the swimming is now very reasonable, and even the down hill ski slope is a £5 for kids to go toboganning. The lack of an on-site shop is the only downside, however, the local garage has a very well stocked little shop, for those emergencies, and Morrisons is only down the road in Stamford.
I am sure that anyone visiting Tallington will enjoy the experience , from Families to couples, very calming, & picturesque, cycling is a must with very safe roads, and a great play area for the kids. |I cant recommend it enough
