For Lake District touring holidays, Thacka Lea Caravan Park in Penrith is the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Lake District and Eden Valley.
Based just six miles from Ullswater, the second largest and one of the most beautiful lakes in the English Lake District, this well-kept park is at the north end of the small market town of Penrith and a short walk to the town's many independent shops and restaurants, sporting and leisure facilities.

Brilliant site. Clean, spacious pitches, friendly owners. Convenient for town centre and shops. Easy public transport to Lake District and Carlisle. We visit every June and normally stay about 2 weeks. Penrith is a very interesting place, but there are many other places to visit as well.
