This is a park that is, to coin the phrase, all about location, location, location. Poised on a hill overlooking a fabulous part of the Pembroke coast near St Davids, it has views of Ramsay Island with it's famous rocks, which the spellchecker on this site doesn't like, but is female dogs, plural. There are great views across Whitesands Bay to St David's Head, and myriad rocks and islets I cannot name. It is yards from The RNLI station at St Justinian's, with its dramatic launch ramp. The station is also the base for numerous fishing, seal watching and Island hopping boat trips.

Beautiful beaches are a brisk walk away. St David's, with some fine pubs, eateries, shops and delis is ten minutes by bike. There are miles of coastal path, offering hiking, seal watching, bird watching and fishing. Sea Kayaking and surfing are hugely popular here. Or you can just sit and watch the moods of the sea and sky.

What you don't get at this site are facilities. No electricity, very basic and somewhat aged washrooms, no washing up facilities, just a few taps in the fields for water. If you can hack that, it provides a timeless camping experience, with unbeatable views and few rules.

Small, pretty basic site with limited facilities for tourers, motorhomes and campers. But the location is everything. Spectacular setting looking across Ramsey Sound.

Around 1mile from centre of St David's with all its attractions, short drive (or 40 minute coastpath walk) to Whitesands beach. 10 minute walk to the safe, sandy beach at Porth Seleu.

And every chance that you have the chance to watch the lifeboat launch from St Justinian at the bottom of the road - well worth seeing if you get the chance.
