It is only a mile from the centre of Buxton and you can park with a good view over the valley, but there ends to positives sadly. The motorhome/caravan pitches are not really hard standing, just a very vaguely level patch of road clippings - most with deep ruts and tyre tracks. Despite the facility list, you'll want to be self contained here. The toilets seem to have and open drain running through the room below a drain grill. The stench of sewerage was intense. The shower cubicles were thick with mold/algae...as was the washing up area. We stay on many farms, mud dust and cobwebs are fine, but human filth that's been ignored for weeks is unacceptable. I pitting those in tents that have to use the facilities.
