THE GATEWAY TO WALES

Open all year round, the unique grounds are situated between the historic village of Overton-on-Dee, near Wrexham, and the Lakelands of Ellesmere in Shropshire on the A528; this being the last and first gateway into and out of Wales.

PITCHES AND FACILITIES

Guest comforts are provided by fully serviced hard standing pitches with mains water, water waste and 16 amp electricity point offering facilities for all year-round touring with a modern 'AA 5 star' rated toilet and shower block with under-floor heating and hot and cold running water.

FISHING ON SITE

The site has two fishing pools which are always popular and you’ll find lots to do around Ellesmere and the Wales border.

COUPLES RETREATS

Perfectly positioned for those who enjoy the outdoors, The Trotting Mare adults-only barns offer a fabulous, stylish and comfortable couples retreat in Wales.

THE TROTTING MARE INN

A traditional country pub serving food and drinks from 12 noon onwards. Open all year round, the inn is closed on Mondays, open on Bank Holidays and dog-friendly in the bar area.
