This park is less than half a mile from Tewkesbury town centre, making the town easy to reach on foot, and the campsite has nice views of Tewkesbury Abbey. Guests wanting to leave the campsite for the day to go and explore Tewkesbury will find plenty to see and do. In addition to the famous Abbey, which was built in the 12th century, there are many old buildings featuring wooden framing and other special features, while museums give guests a picture of the history of the area and why Tewkesbury is culturally significant.
Another popular feature of the town is the open air market, which is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Wander round the stalls and pick up some lovely, local produce – and maybe the odd bargain, too.
