The most tranquil of sites, scattered with rhododendrons from the garden of the former old hail, against a backdrop of the Inglewood Forest, and located in the Eden Valley, serene and lovely. Come for a night, stay for a week. Thats what happens to those using the site as a stopover from the haul to Scotland on the M6. Walkers love it because the area is beautiful and uncrowded - the Eden Valley riverside walk is special, but everywhere the views to the Lakeland fells from the footpaths and wild-flower scattered country lanes will give pleasure.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is set out in the countryside, but is still close to Carlisle - perfect so that we could visit the Castle there. We had a lovely view over the fields, and caught sight of lots of birds visiting the bird feeders on site. Only downside for us as a family of 5 is no toilet block, but we knew there was not one before we booked. Lovely friendly wardens completed our very pleasant visit. Make sure you follow the Caravan Club book directions - bumpy approach road to the site.
