Heaven Farm

Uckfield, East Sussex

For some peaceful seclusion on your camping and caravan holidays in Sussex, look no further.

Heaven Farm sits in 100 acres of stunning parkland near Uckfield in East Sussex and is also close to the Ashdown Forest, 600 years of farming history behind it and a bright future ahead.

The camping and caravan site at Heaven Farm is open for touring caravans, tents welcome between 1st May to 31st October.

Facilities at this campsite in Sussex might be a little basic, but what you're getting at Heaven Farm is a wonderful setting and a great opportunity to truly get away from it all. Yet all your essential, everyday needs are well catered for, as there are toilets, showers, fridges and washing-up facilities on site. There is also a section of the Heaven Farm campsite dedicated to The Caravan Club with five pitches, all of which have electric hook-ups.

You'll find this campsite between Wych Cross and Chailey on the A275.

However, Heaven Farm is much more than just a campsite – it is a working farm. There are even wallabies. On site you will also find The Stable Tea Rooms. Open all year round, except for December (other than for Christmas lunches) and January, this tea room and licensed restaurant serves food from its country kitchen, homemade cakes and daily specials being particular attractions. Parking is free and there is good wheelchair access. Why not make the taste of a traditional Sussex cream tea part of your next camping and caravan holiday?

There is also a nature trail at Heaven Farm, that is glorious whatever season you visit, as well as a farm museum. Or why not drop in to Cart Lodge Craft Shop, open from Easter until the end of October. Here you'll find many locally produced, handmade items, as well as things for your garden.

If you've pitched at Heaven Farm for your camping and caravan holidays in East Sussex, the Ashdown Forest is on your doorstep, the south east's largest area of heathland just waiting for you to explore it. Or head to the coast. Brighton and Eastbourne are both less than an hour's drive from this campsite, Hastings a little further away, each seaside town with its own atmosphere, meaning all holiday makers are sure to find something that suits them.

A little closer to this campsite is Uckfield (only about a 20-minute drive), a town that will serve all your needs and let you stock up on essentials, Haywards Heath also about 15 to 20 minutes away by car.

Nearby is also the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Covering over 550 square miles across East and West Sussex, Surrey and Kent, including the Ashdown Forest, enjoy long walks in this wildlife-rich region. Maybe you'd like to try cycling, horse riding or orienteering in Bedgebury Forest, visit the RSPB nature reserve of Broadwater Warren near Tunbridge Wells (one of many nature reserves in the area), or enjoy a day out in Winchelsea, one of the UK's best preserved planned medieval towns.

However you choose to spend your camping and caravan holidays in Sussex, if staying on a working farm sounds just your cup of tea, why not book a pitch at Heaven Farm.
