Woodhall Country Park is a award winning campsite. Set in lovely parkland and in a conservation area, this site has been designed in conjunction with Natural England. Because of this, a huge amount of wildlife can be spotted here, including fascinating birds, butterflies and reptiles.

This campsite is also listed in the Top 100 Sites Guide from Practical Caravan, Practical Motorhome and Caravan Sitefinder, meaning it's one of the best campsites in the UK. And as one of just nine campsites in the Eastern England section of this go-to guide, it is also one of the best campsites in the region.

Woodhall Country Park welcomes caravans, motorhomes and tents. At this campsite you'll find 80 serviced and hardstanding pitches, all of which have electric and water hook-ups, as well as drainage for foul and grey water. In addition, there are 30 grass pitches that are also serviced, and they are suitable for caravans or large tents, plus there are some specific camping pitches in a wooded area.

The washrooms at this campsite are spacious and tidy, with showers, basins and toilets, as well as facilities for disabled visitors. There is also a washing up area. If you're camping, you can use the food preparation area, where there's a microwave and a kettle, sinks and a freezer. And you can enjoy herbs from the campsite's herb garden.

There are also a range of glamping options at Woodhall Country Park in Lincolnshire – prices start at just £35 per night, per pod. There are six camping pods, each of which has a double bed and room for a travel cot, electric sockets, a picnic bench and tea/coffee making facilities. Just bring your bedding and kitchen/cooking gear. Pets aren't permitted here.

But that's not all. There are six Sky camping pods, too, each of which has a double bed and a pair of bunk beds, so can accommodate two adults and two children. As with the regular pods, pets and smoking aren't allowed and you just need to bring bed linen and cooking equipment, cutlery and plates.

If you're a fan of fishing, you will be pleased to learn that there is a trio of well-stocked fishing lakes for anglers to enjoy – one day’s fishing on a single rod costs £5. Bike hire is available, and you can even take a course in wildlife photography on selected dates in 2014. And if golf takes your fancy, head to Woodhall Spa Golf Club which is very close to this campsite.

Jubilee Park Outdoor Swimming Pool is also nearby, as is The Kinema in the Woods, the only fully functioning cinema in the UK to employ back projection. These are both on the edge of the Lincolnshire village of Woodhall Spa, which has a number of pubs, bakeries and cafes to keep you well fed on your motorhome, camping and caravan holidays, while giving you a break from cooking.

The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just waiting for you to explore if you're pitched at Woodhall Country Park. There's also the city of Lincoln with its castle and cathedral, which will take you around 40 minutes to drive to.

So, there are lots of things to do on your camping, motorhome and caravan holidays in Lincolnshire, and with the option of glamping too, the award winning Woodhall Country Park could be your perfect destination.
