Felixstowe, Suffolk

Enquire Now You enquired

Felixstowe Beach Holiday Park is a family-friendly park that is open from March - November with a number of different caravans and holiday homes available for renting.

A warm friendly welcome awaits you at Felixstowe Beach and, of course, it’s your choice to have a relaxing holiday or an excitement fun-filled break. For your ultimate convenience, scrumptious breakfast and half board packages are also available.

A heated indoor leisure pool offers fun and relaxation for the whole family. Fantastic evening entertainment in the Lounge Bar includes live shows and cabarets, and there's a kids club to keep the little ones entertained. Other activities include segway hire, hover archery, and water walkers.

The excellent coastal resort of Felixstowe is just a short walk from the park, where you will find restaurants, bars, shops, and so much more. The town centre and its long level promenade are famous for the extensive beautiful Edwardian gardens, which enjoy protected status.

Landguard Fort hosts regular military re-enactments and Felixstowe Museum houses the local history with a map and photo archive.

For a different experience, visit Southwold, which is almost an island, with just one road leading into and out of this charming seaside town in North Suffolk. A working lighthouse still guards the coastline and keeps mariners safe, and is an amazing sight during the early evening as it begins to darken. A range of boat trips are offered, including a 3-hour cruise to Scroby Sands to see the seals.

For something special in Southwold visit The Electric Picture Palace which shows a wide range of films in a very tiny cinema – it only has 68 seats! At the same time, the rest of East Anglia, whether you are looking for coastline or woodland, is within easy reach, and means there are loads for you to see and do during your stay.

The initial van we given was disgusting. No loo seat. Stained toilet. Mud on the floor. Burnt on food on the cooker. Crumbs on the table. Nettles outside. A really cramped van in a poor position on the park. I went to customer services and said I wouldnt even put a dog in there and would rather drive home. They offered to clean it but i said no. After initially saying they couldn't move me they found me another van that I would say was ok. An older style van but to be honest the whole site is looking tired. Nettles and uncut grass. Dog mess around the site. Hardly any parking for cars. The arcade was poor. The 2p machines were all broken. The 2p change machine had no money in it. The kids club badly had any enthusiasm and the communal areas near the pool.were dirty and muddy and not attended to. On arrival I reported a broken shower and the response was, Oh that won't be fixed during your stay. I also reported poor tv signal and got the response thats just how it is. On departure having already handed in my keys I then got a phone call asking me where my keys were, so again poor communication between the staff. This trip was for my birthday and i left dissapointed and felt this upset my birthday weekend. I have since contacted customer service and the follow up has been poor. I spoke to someone on Friday about my issues going forward and following on from this phone call I am yet to receive a reaponse. I would say to all thinking about booking to go to another site and based on my dealings with customer service to book with another company.

We have just got back from a 3 night break at Felixstowe Beach and although the weather was awful we had a great time, we booked a bronze caravan which is the basic accomodation, the caravan was spotless and spacious with everything you could need, the entertainment was excellent, staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the swimming pool was great just a pity it didn't open for longer. We are a family with 2 children and we had a fantastic time

I needed to write this review after our disappointing 4 day break at this place.
We knew it wasnt going to the best place we have been so we went with an open mind.We booked the best caravan and went half board.
Upon our arrival we went to reception and that all went well got our keys and headed straight for our 'gold plus' caravan. The caravan was a big disappointment-was dirty and more like a Haven 'bronze'!After a quick clean up it was ok.The sheets were lovely and clean but the pillows and quilts were dirty!
Nearly every item of food was deep fat fried! From chicken nuggets to spring rolls! Most items they didnt have and it was so badly organised. The staff were rude in the bar and we even had our food thrown on the table because we complained that the desserts had taken over 45mins to be served!
Our full english breakfast was a disgrace and most of the time the chef served us our food!!!
The evening entertainment was good .Also it advertises that there is a flume-and yes there is....BUT....according to residents....It hasn't worked for TWO years!!!!!
The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that the beach is amazing and the front is lovely and clean!

i booked this holiday on the pretext of not having been away in 26years.
i am a mother of 3 children ranging from 26 to 11.
my husband is a very hardworking man and this has been the first time we have all been able to have a family break.
we booked this caravan site 4days before we arrived.
looking at the web page this seemed a perfect choice for what we were looking for.
somewhere that had facilities for children and adults.
on arriving we were greated with an overpowering smell of sewerage. which never left for the duration of our family holiday.
it was so bad we couldnt eat or even stay most days we found ourselves getting up and dressed as early as possible leaving the site to get away from the smell.
the caravan itself was lovely enough room for the family and clean and tidy.
on our first day we ventured around the park to get some provisions. only to find ourselves back at reception where they classed one corner of the office as a shop. and the range of products where unappropriate for our needs.
later this day my youngest son wanted to hire out a go kart. at the cost of £7 an hour with a £5 deposit and the bikes were not much better at £5 an hour. people were driving around the site above the 10mph limit. we decided to take him to the fun zone for a bit of safe entertainment.
the fun zone was closed daily between 2 and 6 which is when children need amusing. it was not at all appropriate for my 11year old. with roughly 6 machines and fruit machines not allowed to be used by anyone under the age of 18.
after eating out on the apparently well facilitated sea front which on all our eyes was appauling with run down cafes ect. we decided to go to the bar for the evening entertainment. after buying 3 rounds of the same drinks and being charged different prices we had enough and went back to the caravan
Day 2
being told we were 5 minutes to the beach and its entertainment we went for a walk. we found nothing to our expectations there was nothing there at all and the beach had been sectioned off with metal fences ect.
we took a 4hour round trip to great yearmouth so it all hadnt been a great waste.
we took our youngest child to the swimming pool which was tiny and was shut. you wouldnt of even considered it a family pool this really dissapointed him we decided we were leaving.

to be honest i was really dissapointed with the site, i was told by a member of staff that out of the 100 caravans there were 75 owned by ppl who lived there all yr round, the kids entertainment was excellebt but there was only 6/7 ppl in the onsite club house a nite, the swimming pool was small and we were not aloud to take pics even if there was no ova kids in the pool!! the caravans were really nicely decorated but they did have an ant problem which in the end caused us to leave a day early, i would mark this 2/10 only gettin the 2 for the kids entertainment and the nice decor in caravans!
