Marina holiday park near Lancaster is a great place to escape to. It's a quiet, relaxing park and the only people there are other owners, so everybody respects each other and you don't get woken up by loud holiday makers.
The park has a great little pub where most people know each other, so it's a great little social hub. The park also has an outdoor pool, which is fine, but only worth taking a dip in the summer. Early March isn't the best time to be taking an outdoor swim!
Nearby is the village of Glasson Dock where you'll find shops, restaurants, tearooms and a bakery. Basically everything you'd need for a self catering holiday can be found in the village.
We love going through to Marina as often as we can, it's a lovely park at the best of times, but during the summer, it really shines!

My wife and I own a holiday home at Marina that we visit as often as we can. We last visited for Christmas and had a lovely time.
Marina is a quiet park with a great little pub that attracts the other owners most evenings. Never a dull moment!
It's only a short drive to Lancaster where there's plenty of shops and restaurants. If you fancy a drink in Lancaster the taxi prices aren't bad at all.
The staff are very friendly and always helpful.
Thinking about it, I can't wait to get back.
