Escape to a holiday park set within private woodland nestled between two National Parks and two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Old Hall Caravan Park is the perfect base for exploring the spectacular landscapes of North-West England. Drive a short distance north and you’ll find yourself among the lakes, woodlands and awe-inspiring mountains of the Lake District. Head east, and you’ll soon reach the hills, moors, and lush green valleys of the Yorkshire Dales. To the south lies the Forest of Bowland and a stone’s throw west is the Arnside & Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can watch mesmerising sunsets over Morecambe Bay.
The park itself lies within its own idyllic patch of the North-West. The surrounding woodland is a haven for local wildlife and encloses Old Hall in an atmosphere of secluded serenity. Peeping between the thickets of trees are views that extend out over the surrounding countryside up to the distant hills and mountains. The grounds also feature meadows and a babbling little river. All these natural delights can be explored along numerous walking trails.
Onsite you’ll also find fast, park-wide wifi internet, a children’s play area, a laundrette and an information room. A choice of nearby supermarkets ensures easy access to whatever stocks and supplies you might need.
If you’d like to make Old Hall your home away from home, the park has a selection of premium-quality holiday properties available for purchase. All stand on generously spaced plots and are fitted with ensuites and modern kitchens. Many also feature verandas and stunning views of the local area.
DirectionsFrom Junction 35 of the M6 take the link road signposted to Over Kellet, turning left onto the B6254. At Over Kellet village green, turn left, signposted Capernwray, and follow the road for 1.5 miles. Old Hall is on the right hand side up a half mile drive.
The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Trough of Bowland are all just a 30-minute drive away. The market town of Carnforth is just down the road and Lancaster and Kendal are only a short distance further. An abundance of wonderful walks crisscross the local area and South Lakes Safari Zoo, Levens Hall and Leighton Moss Nature Reserve are just three examples of many great nearby attractions.

A walk through the woods at 7.00 am this morning was like a wildlife documentary, first on list :
Rabbits, (plenty of them)
Woodpecker and it's young
Buzzard (really making itself heard)
Mole (sadly not alive)
and last but definitely not least, A beautiful red Doe and her 2 little ones,
but as usual, I had my hands full with my two dogs, so didn't have my camera, what a shame.

We have a touring caravan and because of the rising fuel costs we decided to put it on a site for the season this year. We found Old Hal Caravan Park which is a lovely site set in woodland. It is within easy reach of the Lakedistrict, Trough of Bowland and the Irish Sea coast. The staff and owners of the site are very friendly and accessible. We will definately stay for another season.

Just returned from a two night stay at this lovely site and have booked again already! We took our motorhome and we had a very relaxing stay at this small but very well equipped site. Wash rooms were spotless and well appointed, Lovely walks from the pitch into the adjacent woods that had paths winding through with info boards to keep you informed. Overall a delightful place to stay and we are looking forward to our return.

Extremely clean shower and toilets - Stayed for 3 days great quiet site even though its not small. £20 a night for tourer think extra charge for an awning is a bit of a cheek, plenty of pitching room, aerial wire provided and we have not tripped out the electric once like u end up doing on many other sites. It has a feel of a top caravan club site. Can not fault this site. Only down side for us is that the site has no bar:(

We have century sited our touring van on Old Hall, having moved from a nearby holgates site. If you are looking for peace, tranquility, fantastic surroundings and a very clean and well kept site then this is the place for you. The toilet and shower facilities are first class. There is nothing on the site, which is exactly what we were looking for, for those it kids there is a small adventure playground but the woodland walks ec are great for all ages. We are looking forward to a pleasant season and many a BBQ when the weather improves.

Loved staying at Old Hall it's a really nice site in a beautiful setting. It's so well situated - just of the tourist track but so great for walking and very near to the coast and the Lake District - an unspoilt corner of the North West.
