4 star Beachside Holiday Park at Westward Ho! is a charming, four-star holiday park found on the North Devon coast, close to sections of Heritage Coastline and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The park is open from the middle of March until the end of October, and has a selection of luxurious holiday homes available to hire. All of the holiday caravans are fully equipped with all the modern appliances guests need for a comfortable stay, while a laundrette is found in the reception area. Free Wi-Fi is offered across the site.

This part of North Devon has a wealth of activities and attractions available to visitors, with miles of walking and cycling trails found close by for those wanting something simple to do while still experiencing the beauty of the area. Guests can pick up the South West Coastal Path close to the park, or choose to head in land where there are many miles of countryside and woodland to enjoy.

Guests can also choose to travel to Exmoor National Park, where there is plenty of walking and cycling to be enjoyed along with the opportunity to get up close and personal with a great deal of local wildlife. Many of the coastal towns and villages of North Devon are also best explored on foot, either at leisure with the family or on a guided tour, which are offered in many locations.

Given the name of the park, it is no surprise that there are plenty amazing beaches that can be easily reached from Beachside. The park itself leads straight onto the golden sands of the beach at Westward Ho! which is said to be one of the safest bathing beaches in the country. Woody Bay, Lee Bay, and Watermouth are other excellent beaches found close by. Family groups are advised that Wildpear Bay is often used by naturists, so is best avoided. But everyone can enjoy Northam Burrows, which has 600 acres of sand dunes, salt marsh and pasture land.

The beaches of North Devon provide a diverse mix of the relaxing and the lively. Surfing and various other adrenaline fuelled water sports can be enjoyed on many of the beaches, while others are perfect for swimming and paddling with the children. Rock pools and caves are also found at most beaches, while the cliffs at many of them are popular with rock climbers. When the tide is out, much of the coastline can be walked on the sands. Guests can pick up tide times locally so they’re always safe and back to a beach in plenty of time for the returning tide.

Away from the coast, this area has many National Trust Properties as well as other botanic gardens and other colourful places to visit. Tapeley Park Gardens, Hartland Abbey and Gardens, and Marwood Hill Gardens are among the most popular attractions visited throughout the year. North Devon also has many museums and other cultural attractions worth visiting, many of which run activities and workshops aimed at children.
The Milky Way Adventure Park and Atlantic Village are among the places offering themed family fun, with the latter providing outlet shopping, too.
