Berry Barton enjoys a sheltered position on the edge of the pretty coastal village of Branscombe. It is a 300 acre dairy farm, with its land stretching along the cliffs to include over a mile of coastline.
The caravan park is situated above the farm with easy access from the lane. The caravans are arranged around the edge of two spacious mown fields each allowing ample space for parking your car next to your caravan.
Many of the caravans are privately owned, thus ensuring that the site remains quiet and private even in high season. There is also a laundry room with automatic washing machine and tumble dryer.

I stayed at Berry Barton with my family in August 2008 in pretty terrible weather. The site offers basic facilities, with a limited number of hook-ups around the perimeter of the large touring field. Most of the site is given over to statics, but there was a selection of tents, motorhomes and caravans there when we stayed. Toilet facilities are limited and basic and a reasonable walk from the touring area. The chemical disposal was not labelled and actually nothing more than a inspection panel for the main waste from the toilet block. Incidentally, the static caravan my mum and dad stayed in was excellent value, modern and clean. It is only the touring pitches which are a bit of a challenge.
In all, if you want a 'back to basics' touring park, this is OK, but please bear in mind that access to the site is very difficult for caravans and under no circumstances should you attempt to approach the site from Branscombe village unless in a solo car, small motorhome or with a small trailer.
