First impressions it is a lovely, well maintains site. Warm welcome when we arrived and our fully serviced pitch was in an ideal location.
First class toilet and shower block which is kept spotless by the wardens.
The only down side is the electric power is only rated at 10 amps. The modern caravans of today need the 16 amps with all the electrical mod cons they have fitted.

Property manager response (13 May 2014)

My wife and i picked this site for our first trip in our new caravan.
The site was beautiful and we can only imagine how it would be in the spring and summer. The staff were amazing with a big smile and go the extra mile for anyone. I only wish staff at some retail outlets and other tourist locations could get some way to these wonderful people. My wife and i would HIGHLY recommend this site and have booked up for 2013 and 2014.

What a fantastic site
We really loved our time here and the managers and wardens were some of the best we've met. Very hard to fault this site but it is a more regemented site. A definate pitch, all of them in rows, and lots of them so if your looking for a more informal arrangement it may not be for you. That said, I would put it as my 4th favourite site in UK

It has all been said in the other reviews 5 stars and well deserved for this fabulous site. But!! here's a complaint. There is a Bl--dy Woodpecker in the woods, I thought it was machine gun practice 'til it changed branches lowering the note. Like a scene from the Teletubbies you keep tripping over Bunnies, and a Sod--ing Blackbird That sings "I'm a Barbie Girl" all day. Not a complaint at all really.
In over 40 years of camping/caravanning this place is the tops. Families/ dogs/ everyone will love it, unless you dislike the song "I'm a barbie ..etc

We went to Dornafield at easter and found one of the best campsites we've ever been on, friendly and helpfull staff, and a free easter egg hunt for the children, Liked the fact that all the water, electric and tv are contained on a post on each pitch.

We think this is a fantastic site for all ages. We have vistited Dornafield several times and can not fault it. We are writing this after returning from said site after a great Easter week end.The site Staff, your first contact, greet you like old friends and the positive experience starts from there.

We have just spent the easter weekend here and had a very enjoyable time apart from the weather. The facilities are excellent, staff are friendly and helpful, site is clean and well maintained and is assesable to many locations including beaches and walks.

We visited in September 2003 and it was such a fantastic site, friendly staff, clean toilets, dustbins on pitches which were emptied every day. Would definitely recommend.

We booked for late Summer 2004, but unfortunately our caravan and car were written off in France by a mad French Woman motorist on the motorway, so as soon as we get a new caravan we will be booking again for 2005!!
