Visit Devon and spend your holidays at Forest Glade Holiday Park, for a relaxing break that will leave you energised and refreshed. This is a family-run park that has a four-pennant rating from the AA.
Found in a beautiful woodland clearing on the western outskirts of the Blackdown Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Forest Glade Holiday Park is open from late March until early November each year. There are a range of accommodation options.
Maybe you'd like to go glamping, staying in a quirky, modern camping hut. There are also some self-catering static holiday caravans for hire. The caravans are available for short stays as well as week-long and longer breaks.
In addition, motorhomes, touring caravans and tents are welcome. The pitches are flat and sheltered, with both hardstanding and grass pitches available, many of which have electric hook-ups. The camping field is kept separate and has no marked pitches or electric hook-ups.
Tourists that stay at this site and fall in love with the park and the surrounding area also have the option of becoming a permanent holiday home owner. Anyone interested should contact the park management directly in order to be added to the mailing list to be notified when pitches or caravans become available.
Touring guests can also take advantage of the useful 'store and stay' service offered at the park, where they can leave their caravan or motorhome stored at the park throughout the year and simply make bookings whenever they wish.
Toilet and shower blocks with family and parent and baby rooms, a washing up area, a laundrette, chemical waste disposal points, recycling points, a campers kitchen and tourist information are all provided here, plus you can buy and exchange Calor Gas and Camping Gaz canisters. Wi-Fi is available, for a fee.
This is a family friendly, dog friendly park – pets are allowed in some of the on-site holiday caravans, but do check prior to booking. If you're bringing your pets, please remember to keep them under control and to clean up after them.
There are also lots of things to do at Forest Glade Holiday Park on your camping, motorhome and caravan holidays in Devon. There's a heated indoor swimming pool and paddling pool, an all-weather tennis court, a designated ball games field, adventure playgrounds for the children, a games room and an indoor soft play area. Guests wanting to kick back and relax can enjoy the sauna in the swimming pool complex, while there are also miles of forest walks that can be enjoyed which are accessed direct from the park.
At the park there is a convenience store, an off-licence and a take away food facility, meaning guests never have to leave the beautiful surroundings of Forest Glade Holiday Park if they don’t wish to do so during their stay. And while there's no bar or entertainment, there are some great local pubs nearby.
If you want to visit Exeter, it's about a 30-minute drive from the park. Sidmouth, on the Jurassic Coast (a World Heritage Site) is about 40 minutes away. And you can also visit Somerset, as Taunton is a 40-minute drive from Forest Glade Holiday Park. Also easily accessible are Dartmoor and Exmoor and the tourist hotspots of north and south Devon.
