Lovely site, very clean and well maintained, beautifully landscaped. Excellent shower block, very modern and scrupulously clean, plenty of toilets and showers for all. The site wasn't as busy as we expected it to be at the end of July but maybe we just missed
the influx at the beginning of the school holidays.
The spacing and siting of the pitches would have been a concern if the site had been busier as they seemed to be very close together, but out of school holiday time it wasn't too bad.
Decent clubhouse on site which was OK for a drink in the evening as long as you're not looking for anything more adventurous than pizza and chips in the food line. Some entertainment at weekends but the option of a quieter lounge room if preferred.
Would recommend this site.

We stayed at Woodlands as our base for our visit to the 2011 Gobur Carousel Preview weekend.
When you add together the touring area and the statics areas, Woodlands is a very large site indeed.
The touring area is one enormous space that is only broken by being dotted with mature trees. It divides naturally into two areas; one half is level and the other gently sloping. There is a requirement to put your jockey wheel on a small concrete pad which marks every pitch with all vans facing the same way, and the pitches are arranged in straight lanes. Given we normally prefer CS / CL type sites, it is these serried ranks of vans and their tow vehicles which left us with a feeling not dissimilar to waking up in the middle of a Sunday Market or Car Boot Sale. Once we got over this, we found Woodlands to be a very good site.
The facilities block is conveniently located in the middle of the pitching area (showers free) and is 7 star! They have even solved the problem of the troublesome push button shower taps: all you have to do is stand close enough to the electronic sensor, and the shower keeps running!
The laundry facility is currently a very reasonable £1.50 - £2.00 for a wash.
The children’s play area is one of the largest (includes a 5-a-side football pitch) and best I’ve seen.
The ‘Roman’s Return’ clubhouse / bar is very comfortable and has regular entertainment.
The ‘Pinewood Park Leisure Club’ is first class and is currently a very reasonable £3.50 for a swim / sauna / steam / spa session.
The ‘Pinewood Indoor Bowls and Banqueting Suite’ is excellent.
The site shop is well stocked to provide your basic needs.
The customer service we received throughout our stay was excellent.
We can recommend the walk / cycle ride through the adjacent woodland to the North Norfolk Railway at Weybourne, and little further on, the Muckleborough Collection of military vehicles.
To sum up: If your preference is for sites with ‘clubhouse’ facilities, it is hard to see how you can get much better than Woodlands.
