Locally, Borth Zoo is a ‘hands-on' Snake and Petting Barn with animal feeding for domestic, farm and exotic animals. Additionally, there are Pony Rides in the summer and a kiddies indoor ball pool. The Vale of Rheidol steam railway at Aberystwyth and the Talyllyn Railway, at nearby Tywyn, are both spectacular, while the Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth, is a living community dedicated to developing sustainable technology. You are also able to go pony trekking from the Rheidol Riding Centre. Aberystwyth has the longest funicular electric cliff railway in Britain which has been transporting visitors to the summit since it’s opening in 1896. There are plenty of things to see and do in the local area. Please visit our website for more recommendations.
