Shardlow Marina and Caravan Park is located in the small village of Shardlow, approximately 5 miles from Derby. It accomodates over 60 owner occupied caravan holiday homes with over 30 caravan or tent pitches on a peaceful, mostly flat, grassy site.

Kids play park shut because it was “too wet”!
Unbelievably loud durge of music from bar late into the night keeping kids awake.
Not good, avoid

Booked 4 nights for June 2020 and paid in full. Tried to cancel over 4 months before the event due to family circumstances and was told no refund would be given. Disgusting considering the high demand at that time they will have no problem selling the pitch again

I have to say the reception is a bit strange the way its set out ? the park its self is great lovely pitches with water and electric and what a nice view ,club had great entertainment and the food was not to bad.
a lovely dog walk along the river bank.
now for the down side, the porta loos leave a lot to be desired , we arrived Friday and we left on Sunday and there are only two toilets in the porta loos and the seat was missing in one all weekend, no hot water in there at all .there is another loo block with showers but need up dating . The person in the reception said they wanted to up date but council would not allow them to. But it takes 10 minutes to replace a toilet seat?
One thing I was very pleased about was the check out time on a Sunday is 3 pm giving you that bit extra so you dont have to rush off.
pubs within walking distance so also another bonus . all in all we had a great weekend we were 14 people in total and apart from the things I have said no one complained,
would we go back yes.
Back again a year later nothing changed pity,
toilets/showers realy do need up dating, thats the only bad thing about this site oh and more hook ups required ,my lead is 30ft long and still could not reach the post.
but all in all the family had another great weekend.
