What a disappointment the last leg of our holiday ,the static caravan was meant to be a bronze it was nothing like the picture advertising a bronze ,the cushions were missing from the back of the chair,it had no net curtains to the front window thus no privacy, the fire was very rusty and the carpet covered in stains and dirty ,the ignition on the oven wouldn’t work so needed two of us to light the oven, when you used the shower the waste water poured out underneath outside ,and when I removed the duvet covers /pillow cases for them to wash they were filthy/mouldy, glad to leave a day earlier than we should have

Castle Bay Caravan Park is a really good caravan site. I have being going here every year since i was a little girl and it has always been great. The staff are really friendly and are always there to help. It is really close to Portpatrick that is lovely wee area with a few pubs and restaurants. There is a park and games room that makes it all the more enjoyable for children of all ages and the shop makes it easier to get milk for the morning instead of walking a mile to the newsagents down in Portpatrick. All in all it is an amazing site and you can make really good friends!

Have been coming to this site for a couple of years, and we have found the staff very helpful. The site is located within walking distance from Portpatrick, which is a great folky village with excellent wee pubs and resturants. The toilet block is not the best we've seen, but it is kept clean and the site makes sure it does not over book for the size of the block, even though they have lots of space to do so. Not a great deal for the kids to do, however the site is quite and is probably suited more to couples.
Overall a good basic site.
