The dog-friendly campsite is on 3 level terraces with electric hook up available and offers unobstructed views across the valley with tree-lined slopes to offer privacy and shade between them.
An ideal campsite to stay at if you want to visit and explore the unlimited places of interest and beauty in the Peak District National Park with plenty of opportunities to visit wonderful country houses including Chatsworth House, Hadden Hall, Hardwick Hall and the historic Bolsover Castle. While the historic market towns of Chesterfield and Bakewell are just 6 and 10 miles away, the spa towns of Matlock Bath and Buxton are also close enough to explore and the Peak District has something of interest for everyone.
Our site is quiet and peaceful, just right to put your feet up and enjoy a well-deserved rest or a leisurely stroll with your dog. There are plenty of easy and interesting walks from the campsite and if you are more active some good bike rides. Derbyshire has a great network of cycle pathways and and some beautiful historic trails including the High Peak, Monsal, and Tissington trails and some of the Pennine Way to explore. We are happy for horse owners to bring their horse or pony to enable them to enjoy the trails as well.
The campsite is open all year round offering access to the glorious Peak District throughout the changing seasons.
