A stone’s throw beyond the park lies the award-winning beaches of Kennack Sands. There you can explore dramatic rock formations, enjoy panoramic coastal views from the overlooking hill, swim, surf, or spend your day basking in the sun. If you fancy a walk, the many great walking opportunities on the Lizard Peninsula include the local section of the South West Coast Path. Book a scuba diving trip to explore the ancient shipwrecks that lie below the waves of the surrounding sea.

Onsite, there are two kids’ play areas, one for under 6s and the other for under 14s, and a recreation field for ball games. You’re welcome to rustle up delicious feasts in the public barbecue area complete with barbecue and picnic tables. Get all your essentials from the onsite shop and everything you need to know about the surrounding area from the information point. The site also features modern, well-maintained washing facilities. Club WI-FI covers most of the site.

Silver Sands Holiday Park is family-friendly and pet-friendly. Tourers, caravans and tents are all welcome. Pitches with water and electric hook-up points are available. Directions

From Helston follow signs to Goonhilly Earth Station (the big satellite dishes). At the next crossroads turn right towards Ruan Minor. Drive for one mile then turn left to Gwendreath. Silver Sands Holiday Park is at the end of the single-track lane.

Beautiful site, well spaced out pitches. Some fully services pitches. The owners Kel & Nick are very friendly and cant do enough to help. Very child friendly without disturbing adults on their own. Would highly recommend this site and will visit again and again.
