Welshpool, Powys

Enquire Now You enquired

Riverbend Caravan Park is a beautiful holiday destination found on the banks of the River Banwy, a short distance from the popular town of Welshpool in the rural heart of Wales. The park is also close to the charming town of Llangadfan, and is an ideal springboard for exploring the best of what Wales has to offer.

This site is open from early April – or Easter if it is earlier – until the end of October, and has a range of holiday homes available for sale, as well as pitches for guests with motorhomes, touring caravans, or tents. Seasonal pitches are available for those looking to stay at Riverbend numerous times throughout the year, and electric hook ups are available across several pitches, too. Riverbend is popular with guests looking to enjoy short and long stays, and is also regularly used as an overnight stop off for guests on their way through Wales to another destination.

Riverbend is situated within a charming valley, and offers brilliant views of the surrounding countryside and rugged hills, with the Cambrian Mountains close by, offering amazing vantage points across Wales as well as challenging terrain for walkers and cyclists to enjoy.

There is a children’s play area found on the site, while sections of the River Banwy are shallow enough for little ones to enjoy paddling and net fishing. Riverbend’s owners also holds extensive rights to allow guests to fish in the Banwy during their stay, while the surrounding area as a whole will strike a chord with anyone that loves wildlife and the natural world.

Away from the park and immediate surroundings, there is a wide range of attractions on offer for all members of the family to enjoy. Welshpool has a wonderful selection of shops, as well as pubs and restaurants for tourists to pick up something to eat and drink, as well as having a leisure centre and a good quality golf course open to the public.

Guests looking for outdoor activities in Wales can enjoy pony trekking in addition to the walking and cycling already noted, while those looking to embrace their sense of adventure should head to Snowdonia National Park, where they can enjoy climbing, abseiling, and other organised pursuits, as well as the opportunity to climb Mount Snowdon.

Further afield, a drive to the west enables guests to experience the beautiful coastline of Wales. As well as being home to miles of sandy, unspoiled beaches and caves, there are also several nature reserves and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty to be discovered and explored. Elsewhere, taking a leisurely drive through Wales will give guests plenty of opportunities for sightseeing, as well as the chance to discover and spend time in some of the quaint market towns and small, friendly villages that populate the countryside.

Riverbend Caravan Park is a great place to own a holiday home, and a wonderful location for your tent, motorhome and caravan holidays in Wales. It makes a good base for holidaymakers who enjoy getting out and discovering the beauty of the Welsh outdoors.

This is a nice quiet site well layed out by the river, very well maintained
,Toilets and showers very clean, dishwash area, laundry. pot washing,
a two minute stroll to the pub that does food, small play area for the little ones ,
Nice greeting when we arrived and shown to our pitch.
The only fault I have with the park is the price £23 + £3 for awning is a little high for whats on the park. we stayed at a all singing dancing park for £2 more ?
Would recommend to older couples for peace and quiet or family with young children.. nothing for teen age kids.
This is the only reason I would give it 4 star.
