Grantley Court enjoys a splendid scenic situation to the north-west of Shrewsbury. Just a short walk from the caravan site brings you to the River Severn, Criggion and Rodney's Pillar.
This is the ideal spot for those who enjoy some peace and tranquility. Young children will love exploring, or playing ball games on the field.
Walkers will discover short rambles locally and longer excursions in the surrounding hills and valleys.
There is plenty to see and do in the area - you could easily spend a day exploring Powis Castle, or taking a ride on the Welshpool & Llanfair Steam Railway. Or perhaps you might take a look at Lake Vyrnwy, or visit one of the excellent local garden centres if that is more your style.
The area is very popular for Paragliders with many local & accessible hills, for example, Criggion, Middletown Hill & the Long Mynd.

The Breidden Hills are one of the many attractive circular walks in the area. At the top of the Criggion is the Admiral Rodney monument with its panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

The Offa's Dyke, Severn way, Nesscliffe Hill, Ellesmere and the South Shropshire Long Mynd are all convenient for walking.

Golf
Close by is the Builthy golf course, along with ones at Oswestry, Llanymynech, Welshpool and Shrewsbury.
The area also offers shooting, horse riding, quad biking and various adventure pursuits and plenty of pleasant country lanes for cycling.
