Please don't give this rude obnoxious man your money, go to the Ranch instead. We pitched our van for the year on this site and will never be back.
Lets start with the positives, toilet & shower block are immaculate and the grounds are well maintained. The clubhouse is ok, but its needing a major refurbishment, kind stuck in 80's.

The negatives as previously mentioned the caravan site owner is is horrible to deal with and his attitude is, his way or the high way. He has been known to tow your van and place it at the road end if you have a major dispute with him.
We paid for a full year pitch and during the busy summer months they placed , touring vans directly in front of ours.( no mention off this when you pay your yearly fee.).
The place in which your van is sighted has poor drainage due to lack of investment. The van needs to moved from its location several times throughout the year. We had our TV cable cut through numerous times, clearly whoever cuts the grass does not show due diligence when carrying out their work.
The final straw ,After getting a call from site owner to inform us we had left our outside van light on. (due to work commitments were unable to visit that weekend) . When we finally manged to get down we found that the power has been disconnected and this caused our fridge/freezer to defrost, and flood our van. When we spoke to the site owner again about this issue we were told ( bearing in mind we NEVER had a tripped circuit breaker in 10 months) the circuit had tripped.
So in summary there are much better and friendlier sites around Ayrshire,so don't give this man your hard earned cash and if you do you have been warned.

The rude and arrogant owner of this site had just told us that our beautiful 1979 caravan, which is in beautiful condition is too old for his site....avoid avoid avoid

Run by the most arrogant owner one could have the unfortunate occasion to deal with. A general consensus shared by many of the caravan owners on site. Avoid this site and related one's at all costs. Based on first hand experience as a former owner of a caravan on this site.

Nice & friendly site, on site bar is excellent, good "craic" with the locals, never any trouble.

Although never personally tried, the food is said to be excellent as well.

Has large function room/hall behind bar with entertainment most weekends and nightly during peak times.

Clean showers (free) and toilets

All in all, an excellent site to base yourself if touring, handy for the ferries to Ireland, also golf links courses etc

My sister has a static van there an has never had any trouble in the 10 or so years she has been there.
