Gwern-y-Bwlch Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

Llanbrynmair, Powys

A gem of a caravan site in a lovely setting, lost in Mid Wales between Snowdonia and old Montgomeryshire. The pitches are terraced, and some have a splendid view across the valley. The world slows to a stroll in this part of Wales. It's a place for country pursuits like birdwatching or fishing. Don't forget your binoculars - the RSPB has reserves at Lake Vyrnwy and Ynys-hir. A conservationist's paradise, with a bird hide and feeding station on site - watch out for the red kite in the area. For anglers, try your luck at the Llyn Clywedog reservoir, or in the Dyfi River. If you fancy sea fishing you can book trips from the harbours of Aberystwyth or Aberdyfi. Walkers will find the Ffordd Glyndwr long distance footpath passes the site, with further excellent walking and views through local woodland developed by the Forestry Commission.

This is such a tranquil site with most pitches having a lovely view over the valley. Each pitch has its own bird table and seeds ,nuts etc can be bought on site.Wildlife is abundent, there is even a bird hide on site. This site is a perfect place for peace and relaxation. There is a very good dog walk on site.Young children are very welcomr but there are no facilities for them.Ideal site for lovers of nature and wildlife.Visited during term time and although the site was almost full most people were retired.we consist of 2 nearly 40'S our 12yr old daughter and our 2 dogs and we thouroughly enjoyed the peace and wildlife.
