Being located in the heart of North Wales, there are activities to suit everyone. Whether it be an adrenaline fulled day out in one of the areas many adventure attractions, or a visit to one of the scenic historical castles, there’s plenty to choose from in North Wales!

On the coast, check out the water-powered critters (sharks!) of SeaQuarium at Rhyl, or take trips around the coastline to Prestatyn, Abergele, Colwyn Bay and onto Wales' biggest seaside resort, Llandudno.

Snowdonia National Park is to the west of Rhuallt and is probably the most-visited area for walkers in this part of Wales, but hiking types have heaps more to pick from, like the Clwydian Range and Offa's Dyke, which has 2 walking paths situed under a miles walk from the park!

Prefer to golf? North Wales has over 60 courses, many of them steeped in history. The region is home to some world-class championship links courses, like Royal St David’s, Conwy and Nefyn & District Golf Club

The culture and history of Wales is plentiful around these parts, with a couple of castles within a few miles and several museums, heritage centres and historic houses showcasing the country's history and mining heritage.

The National Cycle Network Route 5 runs along the fairly easy miles from Rhyl to Prestatyn, but if you fancy something a bit more hair-raising, mountain biking trails like the ones at Coed Llandelga Forest are easy to get to from Rhuallt Country Park and have lanes divided by ability.

Other hair-raising days out can be had zooming along Europe's largest zipline at Zip World in the old slate mine of Penrhyn, or ride the waves at the world's first inland surf lagoon!

The site where we stayed was exceptionally clean. Everything was set out to a standard that you didn't need assistance. The site itself was situated in a beautiful spot with amazing views, and was very quiet and relaxing.

Rhuallt Country Park

Spacious level pitches covered in well draining slate chips, easy access a short way from the North Wales expressway, pleasant views over countryside. Water tap and drain at each pitch. Medium sized site with some seasonal pitches and statics, but not overly-large or busy.

Rhuallt Country Park

I enjoyed my stay. The site was well laid out with plenty of room for the caravan awning and car. The services for the caravan were ideal, I did not have a dog, but the people who did, they were well behaved. No nuisance barking. The site was clean and well kept, grass tidy, clean toilet block. Really good food, and a dram if you wished. I found it well situated for touring about with the car. I will be back.

Rhuallt Country Park

very nice quiet site enjoyed the surrounding countryside serviced pitches were large and wide and well kept hard standing with grass and bushes surrounding which were all cut and well kept, while there was no club house or any kind of entertainment on site which was perfect for me ... there is a restaurant/bar next door...so if you don't feel like cooking or a drink that's an option ... I would certainly return again .

Liked: We have been to this site a number of times now. I personally like the fact you receive an email with the barrier code. This makes arriving at the site a lot more flexible if, like ourselves, you travel after finishing work. The food from the restaurant next door is lovely and very filling, if a little pricey. Overall this is a good site whether you are stopping or if like ourselves using as a nightly stopover when heading into Wales
