Doniford Bay Holiday Park is a beautiful Haven Holidays resort found on the Somerset coast, a short distance outside of the popular seaside town of Minehead and the iconic Exmoor National Park. This park offers a range of luxurious holiday caravans and chalets for hire, as well as some permanently owned holiday caravans being available for guests to buy. This would be a wonderful option if you love the north coast of Somerset and would like to escape to Doniford Bay Holiday Park as often as possible throughout the year.

All of the caravans found at the park are modern and equipped with the latest appliances and features, guaranteeing guests a comfortable and enjoyable stay and giving them a great base for exploring the Somerset coast and beyond.

There is plenty for families to enjoy at Doniford Bay Holiday Park, with activities available from early in the morning until well into the evening for all ages. An indoor and outdoor pool is perfect whether guests are looking to enjoy swimming or a fun splash around, while waterslides are always enjoyable.

Organised activities such as pool kayaking and water walking are also available, with many of these activities perfect for young children looking to build their confidence on the water, though everyone is welcome to join in.

Away from the pool, a further range of amazing outdoor activities can be enjoyed at Doniford Bay Holiday Park. There is a sports court, crazy golf course, and plenty of open space for informal running around and ball games. The park offers archery and fencing lessons, which are always popular and are a “must try” for guests that haven’t experienced these pursuits before.

While family fun is always great, sometimes Mum and Dad need a break of their own. Thankfully, the children’s clubs offered at Doniford Bay Holiday Park mean this isn’t just a pipe dream. Sporty activities as well as arts and crafts can be enjoyed, with a tailored programme for various age groups designed to ensure the kids never get bored. Activities are available for under fours right up to 13 and older.

The Café Bar and Grill found at the park is very popular with guests, and offers a brilliant menu designed to satisfy after the end of a long day of activity and excitement. Guests can then head to the on-site entertainment venue and enjoy the program for the evening. Entertainment evenings range from quizzes and karaoke to professional singing and dancing, stand-up comedy, and more.

Although guests could easily have a great holiday without leaving the park at all, there is so much in the surrounding area that exploring is a must. The seaside resort town of Minehead has a range of attractions from museums to modern shops, leisure centres, and restaurants, while Exmoor National Park is perfect for outdoor lovers looking for walking, cycling, and pony trekking opportunities. The South West Coastal Path starts at Minehead, so if you enjoy walking holidays, plan to walk sections of it and you'll enjoy amazing views out to sea and across Exmoor.

The M5 motorway is in close proximity to the park, allowing guests to discover the best of Somerset and even take day trips out to Gloucestershire. There are many interesting and bustling market towns and other seaside holiday resorts to visit within an hour of Doniford Bay Holiday Park, making it a great choice for caravan holidays in Somerset.

This holiday took the biscuit from the moment we arrived. The brochure boasts such delights as a 12' wide luxury caravan with all mod cons including a full size fridge, a children's indoor play area, great food and entertainment etc etc. Lets start with caravan: It was not 12' wide and luxurious. It had stools around a dining table. Not ideal for strapping the chair for my two year old on. Considering you have to put the age of the children on the booking form, you would have thought someone would have checked it. The fridge was fit for a two pint carton of milk and two plates. This was supposed to be a full size fridge as quoted on the booking. An owners exclusive ho-down, 50' from our caravan compounded the holiday on the Saturday night, keeping the children awake with loud music. Complaints to the security staff at the site were ignored as they said they had no control over what went on. The food was cold and greasy and took for ever to arrive. By the time it did arrive the children were crying so much as they were hungry, sending it back was not an option. The entertainment was canned American rubbish that was repeated and my five year old sussed that out after two days. It was excessively loud and I had to return home most nights with my two year old who couldn't even tolerate the kids entertainment. Doniford Bay Holiday Park, Watchet, Somerset

I have recently returned from a 3 night stay at Doniford Bay and my family and I had a great time. My six year old loved the character shows and the family entertainment was fantastic with guest singers and visiting bands. All of the staff were freindly and polite and nothing was ever a problem for them. The accomodation was clean and in a good state of repair and although the beach was not sandy there were lots of rock pools and shells to collect. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have booked a week for next year already.
