Greenhills Caravan & Camping Park is situated in the picturesque Derbyshire town of Bakewell. Ideally situated and surrounded by the the slopes of the lower Wye Valley. An excellent centre from which to explore the many places of interest to be found in the surrounding area. Set in 12 acres of beautiful countryside, surrounded by the slopes of the lovely Wye Valley, the Park can accommodate 70 touring units, all of which have 16 amp electrical hook up points, as well as 100 tent pitches on three separate camping fields.
The pitches at the top of the tourer field are level and carry uninterrupted views of the countryside, with shelter being provided by the mixed woodland along either side.
There are also two fields dedicated to privately owned caravan holiday homes.
The amenities on the park are modern and well-maintained.
Recreational Field for ball games etc.
There are two important stately homes in the area, namely Haddon Hall to the south east and the beautiful Chatsworth House only four miles eastward.
Gullivers Kingdom theme park in Matlock Bath is a magical day out, it's an attraction that we can highly recommend, and it's only a 10 minute drive away.
Whilst you're here why not plan an excursion on the Peak Railway Line? With its beautiful scenery, it is the best way to travel and see the beauty of the Pennines.
The town of Bakewell, famous for its 'tarts' or to be more precise its puddings, can be reached within five minutes and Chesterfield, with its famous crooked spire, is only 16 miles away. Close by too, are Matlock Bath and Buxton is a short drive to the west over the peaks. For those who like to shop 'till you drop' the huge Meadow Hall Shopping centre is less than an hours drive away at Sheffield.

We are new to caravanning and found this site perfect. the staff were very helful when they found out we were newbies, gave us an easy pitch although we`ve started with a twin wheeler (long story) facilities were very good and clean, nice to be able to relax and not have to go off site for a drink, lovely bar and had entertainment on for the kids when we were there, the dogs were welcomed on lead of course and there was also a dog walking area provided with doggie bins. cant fault it, not far into bakewell itself bit of walk back tho all uphill if yopu dont take the car, will definatley go again thankyou for a lovely stay
