Lower Treave Caravan and Camping Park is a beautiful, family run holiday park in the heart of the Land’s End Peninsula in Cornwall.
The campsite park is open from April to October, and has pitches for motorhomes, touring caravans and tents, as well as offering a small number of holiday homes for hire. These holiday caravans, which were new in 2009 and can sleep four to six people, are self contained and each has a parking space and a sun deck.
There are three types of pitches here. All units can stay at a Pitch Plus and enjoy 10A electric hook-ups, while you get the same for tents but without a hook-up if you book a Pitch Large. Backpackers, cyclists and those travelling light might like a smaller Pitch Lite.
All of the pitches at Lower Treave Caravan and Camping Park are well spaced and given shelter by the surrounding trees and hedges, and while, as stated above, a number are available with electric hook-ups, all are close to water standpipes. Additional facilities available here include toilet and shower blocks with hand dryers and hairdryers and even heated towel rails, an indoor washing up area and a well equipped laundrette. Fridges and freezers are also on hand for guests to store their food, while the on-site shop sells everyday grocery essentials as well as camping spares, Calor Gas and Camping Gaz – you can also charge your gadgets here. A separate field at the site can cater for caravan rallies throughout the open season.
Wi-Fi can be accessed free of charge, plus there is a computer room that you can use while staying here for a small fee. There's also an information area where you can find out about things to do in the local area.
If you're looking for dog friendly campsites in Cornwall than you've found one in Lower Treave. Please remember to clean up after your dog and keep it well controlled. And while there is no dog walking space on the campsite itself, there are miles upon miles of countryside and coastline nearby that are open and accessible.
This campsite has also been awarded a gold David Bellamy award for conservation.
Lower Treave is surrounded by the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, encompassing both the countryside and coastal areas. As well as offering unspoilt landscape and access to the beautiful South West Coast Path, the park provides access to ancient ruins, along with small towns and villages that all have a rich culture and heritage. And you will doubtless be pleased to learn that the Blue Flag beach of Sennen Cove is only two miles from this campsite.
