Visit Cumbria and stay at Sampool Caravan Park, a family holiday location on the banks of the River Kent, close to its estuary into the Irish Sea and on the outskirts of the iconic, must-visit Lake District National Park.

Sampool Caravan Park offers a selection of new and pre-owned static holiday homes for sale, as well as a modern collection of luxurious lodges.

All of the accommodation at Sampool Caravan Park is nicely decorated, and is equipped with the best conveniences and appliances to ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay whenever they use their static caravan or lodge.

The park has a children’s play area for little ones to enjoy, as well as open spaces for enjoying ball games and other activities. Private fishing is available on-site at Sampool Caravan Park thanks to the frontage right onto the River Kent, with day or season-long passes available. A mini-supermarket found at the park sells a wide range of items and ensures guests never have to leave the park to keep their accommodation well stocked.

As well as fishing on the River Kent, there is a wide range of outdoor activities that guests can enjoy at Sampool Caravan Park. The location of the park means there are miles upon miles of walking routes available, with trails that head out into the countryside as well as into the fells on the borders of the Lake District. Many of the walking trails are accessible on bicycle, too, with mountain biking proving particularly popular on the more challenging, hilly routes that head into the Lake District. As an additional incentive for heading out on foot or two wheels, many of the routes also pass by the odd country pub, perfect for ‘refuelling’ and enjoying a reward for all the hard work!

Horse riding is also available close by, giving guests another great way to get around the local area, while sailing is available on many of the lakes of the Lake District – Windermere is the best location – and several exceptional golf courses are found close by.

Kendal and Ulverston are two of the most popular market towns in Cumbria – they are 15 and 30 minutes away by car, respectively. Both have a rich history and cultural heritage, while also having their own collection of excellent shops, pubs, tearooms, cafes and restaurants.

Within the Lake District, Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere are great places to visit, while lake cruises on Windermere offer a great day out for those looking to relax and take in their surroundings. Also close by are Beatrix Potter’s House and the Beatrix Potter Museum.

Levens Hall is a stunning location found a mile from Sampool Caravan Park, and has exceptional gardens, a children’s play area, and serves wonderful lunches and teas. Other nearby attractions include the Lakes Aquarium, the Lakes Glass Centre, the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, and the South Lakes Zoo.

The Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural beauty is found a short distance to the south, and is a haven for wildlife and birds, with a wildlife oasis in Silverdale another excellent option for a family day out.

Stayed the weekend 17/08/18. 20+ children screaming children from lunch time until gone 9.30pm the parents of whom seem happy to allow this as their rented caravans weren't near the 'play area'. Children , well 14 year old( 'wearing Blue Adidas shorts and T-shirt.' so you know who you are) throwing stones at caravans. Owners of dogs using grassed areas outside caravans as toilets. The new management of the park appear to be happy to gain income from the rented caravans to the detriment of the park. A once relaxing park has given way to a business model more aligned to a haven holiday park! Not recommended to buy here.

We are the owners of a static caravan on this site,We regard it as one of the best parks we have seen.
The site is located next to the estuary, the grounds are well maintained, and the atmosphere on site is warm and relaxed, and the staff are very helpful, also the touring caravan site is in a nice area.
We find Sampool to be a charming park.
Regards Peter and Sheila Dickson.
