FIND USCamel Creek Adventure Park
Brace yourself for non-stop action at Cornwall’s favourite theme park. With rides to suit both dare devils and younger children, Camel Creek Adventure Park is a great day out with friends or family. If you have kids be sure to check the events calendar as you never know what character will be coming to visit that day.
Lost Gardens of Heligan
This internationally acclaimed garden promises a great day out. Discover the history behind the once derelict land and learn what inspired the team to restore it to its former glory.
Top Tip:
Make sure you enquire about the ‘Heligan Wild’ conservation effort. Check out the live cam feed to Heligans Owl and Mouse Habitats!
Cycling
A great cycle route is the ‘camel trail’ an 18 mile disused railway line. Passing through stunning Cornish countryside the trail is largely traffic free and the path is flat, so manageable for children. There are lots of pubs and shops to stop off at along the way. Bikes can be hired for a small fee from Padstow, Bodmin and Wadebridge should you not want to bring your own.
Golf
There are golf facilities onsite including the pitch n’ putt course. However if you prefer to explore further afield, the Merlin golf course is just 13 minutes’ drive away and has great ocean views. Alternatively Treloy Golf Club is 10 minutes away and set in some beautiful parkland.
Surfing
Fistral Beach is renowned as one of the best surfing beaches in the UK. Located only 23 minutes’ drive away, Fistral is easily accessible from your accommodation. Harlyn Beach is also great for surfing and appeals largely to novice surfers. Harlyn Beach has a great surf school to help you ride the waves.
Walking
The Camel Trail is great to walk although it can get busy with cyclists. The Cornish Coastal Path is also an excellent route passing lots of sandy beaches and rocky cliffs. Should you prefer to stay inland, we recommend a walk in the Glynn Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Liskeard and Bodmin.
Aqua Park
Adults and children will love bouncing their way through the inflatable obstacle course at Retallack! Inspired by the BBC's Total Wipeout, this floating water park is sure to provide hours of fun. Book and pay for an aqua session at reception.
Wake Boarding Park
Try your hand at wake boarding on the Retallack Wake Park. Enjoy the thrill of learning a new skill or show off your expertise! Paid sessions are bookable at reception.
Spa & Leisure Centre
Retallack Resort & Spa has an onsite spa and leisure centre where you can go for a swim, relax and unwind in the steam room/sauna or burn off some energy in the gym. If you need that extra motivation why not try a fitness class? If you feel like pampering yourself, the spa offers a range of different treatments including mani-pedi, facials and body wraps.
Tennis Courts & Golf
The Retallack resort has two hard tennis courts onsite. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a complete novice, everyone is welcome to have a go. The resort also has a 9 hole, par 3 golf course, brilliant for practising your strokes.

A lovely property with great facilities just 20 minutes from Padstow. Hot tub was a real bonus as we had very mixed weather! Kitchen had everything we needed and on site restaurant also very good. Plenty to do on site for kids with the pool, flow rider and tennis courts.
