Sykeside Camping Park is a wonderful pub and family campsite in the Lake District National Park. The park has been awarded Three Pennants by the AA and is affiliated with The Camping and Caravanning Club. Sykeside Camping Park is open all year round.
Numerous accommodation options are available to guests looking to stay at the park. Plenty of people visit the Lake District for walking and mountaineering holidays, and if you are one of them, why not stay in the comfortable bunkhouse, or the Brotherswater Inn? Last but not least, this is a proper campsite and you are welcome to bring your own accommodation for tent, motorhome and touring caravan holidays; a small number of touring pitches are limited to Camping and Caravanning Club members only.

All of the touring pitches at the park benefit from electric hook-up, and are also all hard standing.
Facilities available for guests to use during their stay at Sykeside Camping Park include toilets and showers, a laundrette, and a dishwashing area. There is also a well-stocked shop at the park, which provides camping essentials and equipment, tourist information, maps and guides, as well as a selection of basic provisions and groceries.
Guests can enjoy something to eat and drink at the Brotherswater Inn, which is linked to the campsite, or a drink at the nearby Barn End Bar.
If you like going fishing in the Lake District, this could be the campsite for you. The small Brothers Water lake is within walking distance of Sykeside Camping Park; guests staying at the park can enjoy fishing here or in many of the rivers and streams that pass close by.
A short drive, cycle or walk to the north will take guests to Patterdale, one of the most popular locations across the Lake District region. Patterdale leads into the village of Glenridding, where there is an excellent pub and a number of wonderful shops.
These locations also act as a gateway to Ullswater, one of the best lakes in the Lake District. Excellent walking routes are available around Ullswater, while boat cruises on the lake also prove popular. There are several boat cruises available, from short trips to one of the other villages found around the lake to full days on the water that include lunch and dinner.
Ullswater and many of the other lakes across the area offer numerous water based activities, including sailing, kayaking, and water skiing, with instruction and equipment hire.
The Lake District is famous for its walking routes, with various types of terrain available, from hillside walks leading to cave systems and offering exceptional views of the area to gentle woodland walks.
Outside of the Lake District, Penrith is a short drive to the north, while the beautiful Cumbrian coast is under an hour away, with Whitehaven and Maryport among the great seaside towns worth a visit.

This is a fantastic site which is ideally located for the many great walks and trails in the area. The site is set amidst beautiful scenery and boasts excellent facilities. Highly recommended and we would visit again. Sykeside Camping Park, Patterdale, Cumbria
