Chester itself is less than a quarter of an hour by car from this campsite and kids will love a day out at Chester Zoo which is less than 20 minutes away. Chester Cathedral is also well worth visiting, while this pretty city is known as a great destination if retail therapy is your cup of tea. There's even a golf club, Chester Golf Club, not far from the city centre, as well as Chester Racecourse, so there really is something for everyone here.
Liverpool is also a 40-minute drive from this campsite. See the famous Royal Liver Building, go to the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral or enjoy time at the Merseyside Maritime Museum or get some culture at Walker Art Gallery. You can also enjoy a wander round the famous Albert Dock, get the Fab Five experience with The Beatles Story or have an exciting day out at Knowsley Safari Park, which the whole family will enjoy.

Indeed, Bangor is just over an hour away and from there you can even cross the Menai Strait and venture onto Anglesey.
And if you don't mind a slightly longer drive – or maybe a slightly earlier start – you can get to the Snowdonia National Park when pitched at this holiday park. The historic mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog in the heart of this famous national park is about an hour and a half from this campsite. If you're feeling brave and energetic enough, you might like to take on the challenge of Mount Snowdon – or enjoy the train ride and you can take in the breathtaking views from the mountain's summit without the physical exertion.
