Chester Southerly Touring Park is a beautiful holiday park just three miles from the popular city of Chester, offering amazing access to the whole of Cheshire and North Wales.

This campsite is open all throughout the year and welcomes guests with motorhomes, tents and touring caravans. There are also caravans and family tents available for rent.

All the pitches at Chester Southerly are hardstanding, while there’s a fully refurbished amenities block in which guests can do their ablutions and their laundry. Seasonal pitches are available at this park too, while secure and reasonably priced storage is also available.

The park has plenty of open space where guests and their families can enjoy ball games and other active pursuits. This is also a family friendly and dog friendly campsite.

If you want to explore Cheshire on your camping, motorhome and caravan holidays, Chester Southerly Touring Park is a super base. Pitch here and you're just off the A55 and also close to the A483, meaning the site is easy to get to and easy to get from when you want to see the area.

Chester itself is less than a quarter of an hour by car from this campsite and kids will love a day out at Chester Zoo which is less than 20 minutes away. Chester Cathedral is also well worth visiting, while this pretty city is known as a great destination if retail therapy is your cup of tea. There's even a golf club, Chester Golf Club, not far from the city centre, as well as Chester Racecourse, so there really is something for everyone here.

Liverpool is also a 40-minute drive from this campsite. See the famous Royal Liver Building, go to the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral or enjoy time at the Merseyside Maritime Museum or get some culture at Walker Art Gallery. You can also enjoy a wander round the famous Albert Dock, get the Fab Five experience with The Beatles Story or have an exciting day out at Knowsley Safari Park, which the whole family will enjoy.

If you've pitched at Chester Southerly Touring Park, you're also close to the Welsh border. The North Wales town of Wrexham is only about a 20-minute drive from this campsite. You can even get to the lovely North Wales coastline from this campsite. Prestatyn is only around a 40-minute drive away, while Colwyn Bay is about 45 minutes from this campsite by car. Indeed, Bangor is just over an hour away and from there you can even cross the Menai Strait and venture onto Anglesey.

And if you don't mind a slightly longer drive – or maybe a slightly earlier start – you can get to the Snowdonia National Park when pitched at this holiday park. The historic mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog in the heart of this famous national park is about an hour and a half from this campsite. If you're feeling brave and energetic enough, you might like to take on the challenge of Mount Snowdon – or enjoy the train ride and you can take in the breathtaking views from the mountain's summit without the physical exertion.
